The Manitoba Public School Employees Benefits Trust is offering you a one-time opportunity to enhance your benefits coverage. This means you can add Health or add Health and Dental coverage for you and your eligible dependents, effective January 1, 2022. You can also choose to maintain or terminate your Ambulance only plan.
Complete the application form and email or fax it to the address at the top left of the form before November 30, 2021. If the application is not returned, you will continue with Ambulance only coverage. No late applications will be accepted.
Note that if you add coverage during this enrolment period, it becomes a package deal and you will not be able to cancel out of one benefit at a later date without terminating all coverage (unless you can prove you’ve acquired alternate employer-administered group coverage for that benefit).
- The Health plan covers a wide range of services and medical expenses, including prescription drugs up to $2,500 per person per year, paramedical services up to $850 per person per year, glucose monitoring, as well as Travel Health insurance that covers unexpected emergency medical expenses outside of Canada for the first 90 days of your trip.
- The Dental plan reimburses 80% of eligible basic dental services and 50% of eligible major dental services to a combined maximum of $1,500 per person per calendar year.
